Ingredients
  • Carbon-Negative Biochar
  • Root Boosting Mycorrhizae
  • Pine Bark Fines
  • Compost

How to Use
  1. Pre-Moisten the Mix
Before potting, ensure the Rosy mix is damp. Place it in a container and add water until it's moist enough to squeeze out a few drops.
  2. Prepare Your Container
Use a container with good drainage and fill its base with Rosy's pre-moistened mix, ready for your plant.
  3. Transplant Your Plant
Gently remove your plant from its current pot, loosen the roots, and clear away loose soil. Place it in the new container, surrounding it with Rosy's nourishing mix, leaving space at the top.
  4. Water Well
Initially, water from above to settle the plant in. Moving forward, opt for bottom watering by placing your container in a water tray for even moisture distribution. Top water occasionally to clear excess salts from the soil.

Rosy's mix, ideal for all indoor plants, ensures your greenery thrives in a nutrient-rich, sustainable environment.

Frequently asked questions

Why is Rosy Soil made without peat moss?

Since the 1960s, peat moss has been a staple in commercial potting mixes, sourced from peat bogs — crucial ecosystems that sequester carbon. At Rosy Soil, we're committed to a more sustainable approach. Our blends are crafted with eco-friendly alternatives to peat moss, offering both effectiveness and sustainability.

How is Rosy Soil different from other potting mixes?

Rosy's indoor potting mix is entirely natural, devoid of peat, and crafted with biochar. The selection of ingredients is deliberate, aiming to benefit your plants and the planet alike. In contrast to the ecologically burdensome components of conventional potting soils, our biochar-based mix is composed solely of natural, carbon-negative elements.

How is Rosy Soil Earth friendly?

Rosy's indoor plant potting mix is crafted from carbon-negative, organic components, offering an unparalleled blend for your indoor gardening needs. Ordinarily, such organic materials would end up in landfills, emitting methane and CO2 — significant contributors to greenhouse gas levels. However, by repurposing these materials and solidifying their carbon, Rosy Soil avert these emissions. Thus, this potting soil for house plants acts as a carbon sink, actively aiding in the reduction of atmospheric CO2.

Can I Add Rosy Soil to My Current Potting Soil?

Yes! You can add Rosy to your current houseplant potting soil — whether it’s an inorganic or organic potting soil mix, cactus or orchid mix, or otherwise.

Which Plants Does Rosy Soil Work Well With?

You can use Rosy indoor soil for plants like:

Tropical plants (monstera, money tree, ZZ)

Philodendron

Pothos

Trailing plants

Ferns

Why is it the best soil for these plants?

Rosy is a well draining potting soil, offering an optimal balance of drainage and moisture retention. Plus, it’s fertile and supports beneficial microbes, which help your indoor plant thrive.

How Many Pots Will A Bag of Rosy Indoor Soil Fill?

8 Quart bag of Rosy indoor potting soil will fill:

4 to 6 medium 6" pots

4 Quart bag of Rosy indoor potting mix will fill:

2 to 3 medium 6" pots

And unlike traditional indoor potting mixes, you do not need to replace the soil every year due to compaction.
